Rider Coaches Wanted – Become a Motorcycle Instructor

Help Train the Next Generation of Safe Riders

Are you passionate about motorcycles and ready to give back to the riding community? Motorcycle Rider Training of Indiana Inc is hiring RiderCoaches to lead our state-approved motorcycle safety courses. As a certified instructor, you’ll play a critical role in preparing students for safe riding and motorcycle endorsement — all while working with a team of dedicated professionals.
This is more than just a job, it’s a chance to turn your riding skills into a mission to reduce motorcycle accidents, improve road safety, and make a lasting impact.

How to Become a Motorcycle Safety Instructor

Step 1 – Take a Basic RiderCourse (If Needed)

If you haven’t taken a Basic RiderCourse (BRC) within the past three years, you’ll need to complete one. Contact Jeff at (260) 750-2931 to schedule.

Step 2 – Submit a RiderCoach Application

Apply with MRT to begin the process. We’ll use your application to review your driving record and evaluate your eligibility for training.

Step 3 – Apprentice with MRT

Before formal training, you’ll observe live classes to learn how our certified RiderCoaches interact with students, manage range exercises, and follow the MSF curriculum.

Step 4 – Complete the RiderCoach Prep Workshop (RCPW)

The RiderCoach Preparation Workshop (RCPW) is an intensive, nationally recognized instructor training program taught by MSF-Certified RiderCoach Trainers. You’ll learn how to teach the BRC curriculum, manage classroom and range sessions, and evaluate student performance.

Step 5 – Commit to Coaching at Least 6 Classes Per Year

To stay active as an MRT RiderCoach, you’ll need to teach a minimum of 6 classes per year.
